MP’s new CM announced: Mohan Yadav, the BJP MLA from Ujjain is the new CM of Madhya Pradesh.

Three-time MLA representing Ujjain South (South) constituency and former cabinet minister in Shivraj Singh Chouhan government, Dr. Mohan Yadav, has been declared as the next chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, state BJP chief VD Sharma confirmed on December 11. The decision was taken at a meeting of newly elected MLAs in Bhopal, including BJP central inspectors-Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, OBC front president K Laxman, and secretary Asha Lakra attended and were present.

Outgoing Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who ended his suspension, appointed Dr Arun Jaitley to the top post. suggested Yadav’s name. The BJP also revealed that Rewa district MLA Rajendra Shukla and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Jagdish Deora will be deputy ministers. Besides, BJP veteran and former agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar will assume the role of assembly speaker of Madhya Pradesh.

After the meeting, Chauhan submitted his resignation to Governor Mangubhai Patel, marking a formal change of leadership for Dr Manmohan Singh. It happened to Yadav. The development comes ten days after the BJP won 163 out of 230 seats in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.

Newly elected Chief Minister, Dr Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to the state and central leadership of the party, saying, “I am a junior worker of the party. Thank you all, the state and central leaders.” With your love and support, I will try to fulfill my responsibilities.

In 1984, he worked as the City Minister of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ujjain, and later, in 1986, he became the Head of the Department, as reported by news18.com. By 1988, he took on the role of the state co-secretary and became a member of the national executive of ABVP in Madhya Pradesh. Furthermore, he served as the state minister for the council’s state unit from 1989 to 1990.
